Brazil tells Europe ‘sort out your economy’

For the past few years, the IT Decisions team has been telling everyone who would listen that the technology industry in Brazil is an exciting place to be – we moved from Europe to be a part of this industry.

It’s often been a hard sell. CIOs in the US and Europe have mostly viewed ‘offshore’ IT work as low-cost offshoring – not always true, but on the whole if a location can’t sell itself as lower cost then it will have trouble. So it’s interesting to see analysis like this in the Wall Street Journal. Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega is telling European countries to sort out structural issues in their economy before expecting any help from Brazil. China is making similar demands.
